Carmelo Doesn’t Get My Photoshop Work

Posted on March 19th, 2008 by Natalie Sitto

Miss Gossip(a Need4Sheed favorite)over at Fanhouse sat down with Carmelo Anthony and showed him what happens when you search his name on the internet for photos, and it seems some of my work popped up.

Carmelo didn’t quite understand my work.

I wonder if you would have gotten this one?

Season Highs Fill The Box Against Denver

Posted on March 19th, 2008 by Natalie Sitto

The Pistons swept yet another season series Tuesday night at The Palace. First came San Antonio on Friday night, then New Orleans in Sunday and now Denver. The box score is filled with season highs as the Pistons notched a 136-120 victory in an exciting, balanced and unselfish game.

Key Points:

  • 7 Pistons in double figures and everyone shot 50% or better.
  • Jarvis Hayeeeeees continued his hot shooting, going 6-10 for 17 points in 20 minutes. The Palace crowd really let him know they appreciated his hot hand. Jarvis Man Crush?
  • I don’t know if I would enjoy watching my team play absolutely no defense. Maybe that’s just something that’s ingrained in me growing up being a Pistons fan. I know you all saw Rip’s three in the first quarter when he had enough time to shower, shave and have a snack before he put up the shot. That would frustrate me as a fan to no end.
  • You can understand why the Pistons as a team shot 60% on the night.
  • Most points at the half this season with 73.
  • Most points this season, in fact the 136 points scored were the most points they scored in the regular season since they put up 136 against Orlando in 1990.
  • Most assists on the season with 42.
  • I’m upset they didn’t show Sheed’s pre-game dance on television. Many of you may be too young for this one, but he broke out in a rendition of Morris Day and the Time’s Jungle love dance. It was perfect and hilarious. What’s next for Sheed, Dancing with stars?

  • Someone isn’t doing their job in Detroit. Richard Hamilton started off the game with a jersey that had his name misspelled.
  • This wasn’t the blowout you think it was, Denver made a push in the fourth to get within 10.
  • What did Linas Kleiza say to get himself a double tech that quick? Possibly something about someone’s mama?
  • The Pistons had a very uncharacteristic 18 turnovers, 6 from Chauncey, who played 26 minutes. It was quite awful to watch, but their ability to make shots made up for it. The Pistons also really capitalized on Denver’s 13 turns.
  • Can we talk about the fact that not only has Maxiell been tearing it up lately, but he’s hitting his free throws. J-Max scored 18 points on 8-11 shooting with a block, 3 assists and a steal in 32 minutes.

  • No burn for Theo, assuming they rested him for tonight’s game in Cleveland.
  • Everyone was impressive in their own way.
  • 77 points from the Pistons bench. Fitting that the Pistons gave away Zoo Crew t-shirts at the game.
  • NBA.com Highlights of the Game.
  • Juan Dixon impressed on offense and D. He really gave AI a hard time when he was in the game.
  • Amir goes hard whenever he’s out there no matter what the score is. You have to love that kind of intensity and drive.
  • Afflalo’s first seconds on the floor produced a nice drive to the hole and layup.
  • A little Maxiell goes a long way.

  • Sheed had a monster of a fourth quarter knocking down shots like nobody’s business. He put up 21 points on 8-for-13 shooting and was 5-for-8 from downtown. Leave Sheed out there behind that arc and he’s going to knock it down. It was getting so ridiculous that I actually thought he might starts shooting them left handed. Rasheed scored eight of the Pistons’ first 10 points to start the fourth. The big fella added 6 assists, 5 boards and a steal in his 29 minutes on court.
  • Mr Big Shot recorded a double-double with 10 assists and 14 points.
  • While listening to the post game show on the ride home from The Palace, Chauncey stated that he thought The Pistons bench is playing better than some teams starting five right now.
  • We should expect Lindsey Hunter in uniform tonight against the Cavs. Who doesn’t dress? Your guess is as good as mine. I’m thinking it’s between Afflalo and Dixon.
  • Rip led the Pistons with 24 points in 27 minutes on 11-for-19 shooting. He’s really stepped it up in the last few games. He’s moving better without the ball, if that’s possible, and his shot selection is much better.

  • Tayshaun Prince tied a career high with 9 assists and added 13 points. I love it when he’s out there playing the point.
  • Best part of the game for me was watching the way the Pistons moved the ball.
  • 60% for The Pistons from downtown.
  • The Nuggets outscored the Pistons in the third quarter 38-27.
  • The Pistons led by as much as 24 points.
  • 50 points in the paint for our boys in red, white and blue.
  • War of the boards won, 40 to 22.
  • Stuckey was impressive and seems to keep improving. Not only was he solid driving the lane, he had quite a few very nice assists. He finished with 11 points, 6 assists, a steal and a blocked shot in 21 minutes.

  • Sheed’s bulletin board material for tonight’s game against CLE.
  • Just to give you a little fair warning, I’m discontinuing the ability to make a comments on the blog Anonymously. Quite frankly I’m sick and tired of babysitting a few random people who feel the need to be rude, disrespectful and ignorant. I am sorry for those of you who are not, but it doesn’t mean that you can’t post. You can use an Open ID (wordpress, Typepad, AIM, or GMail, Live Journal) or sign up for a free account. Again, my apologies that a few bad apples had to ruin it for everyone.
  • One last thing…..I’m not Sheed so please stop sending me e-mails asking for free tickets, jerseys, to listen to your new beats or just to say “hey Sheed what up”. Quite honestly if it was Rasheed do you really think he has the time or patience to respond to and email that just says “what up?”

Pistons – Nuggets

Posted on March 18th, 2008 by Natalie Sitto
The Detroit Pistons vs. The Nuggets

The Pistons will take on the Nuggets tonight at the Palace. Detroit will have to stop the offensive firepower of a Nuggets team who just put 168 points on Seattle two days ago. I’m off to the game early tonight so head on over to The Nugg Doctor for some game time perspective.

Tip off is at 7:30 and will be locally broadcast on FSN Detroit. If you can’t catch it on TV you can always tune in to 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or stream it live through your computer at NBA.com.

Personally I’m hoping for a little of the magic that happened the last time Denver was in town.

Leave ‘em in the comments.

Adrian Dantley’s Time In Detroit

Posted on March 18th, 2008 by Natalie Sitto

Adrian Dantley will be at the Palace tonight, but not for anything Detroit related. Dantley, an assistant coach for The Nuggets, will try to help his team add to their three game winning streak and continue their offensive attack on all opposing reams in their way. Dantley, who took over the head coaching job in George Karl’s absence (I’m sure some people wish it was a permanent leave) the last time the two team met, has some memories in Detroit he would love to remember and some that I am sure have taken a lot to forget, if he even has.

I have fond memories of A.D.’s time in Detroit and was one of those people who felt bad that he missed his ring, even though I loved Aguirre. I was young when it all went down, and inside stories didn’t always make it to fans, so this video did a nice job of refreshing some memories and putting things into perspective.

He’s in there for a couple of seconds, so make sure you don’t miss the ageless Blaha? And yes, he was “Counting That Baby and a Foul” back then too.
