Rodney Stuckey was “doing well” and was released from the hospital Saturday afternoon following his collapse on the bench Friday night against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

All tests done at the Cleveland Clinic came back normal, the team said. He was returning to Detroit and will undergo further tests.

Former Palace Sports & Entertainment President Tom Wilson will be introduced at noon today as the newest executive with Detroit’s Ilitch Holdings Inc.

The press conference, announced by the Ilitch organization, will be held at MotorCity Casino, which is owned by Marian Ilitch. Ilitch Holdings President and CEO Chris Ilitch will introduce Wilson, who resigned as president of Auburn Hills-based PS&E last week. Tom Pyden, vice president of corporate communications for Ilitch Holdings, confirmed he will be introduced today.

….It’s unknown if the Ilitches are interested in buying the Pistons and the Palace.

Great move for Ilitch and glad to see Tom stay in the Detroit Metro Area.  It’s a win-win.

Tom Wilson has left his position as president and CEO of Palace Sports and Entertainment, according to a report.

ClickOnDetroit.com, attributing the information to sources, says chief operating officer Alan Ostfield will take over Wilson’s position.

Wilson was not at his usual seat at The Palace Tuesday night during the Pistons’ game against Minnesota.

Wilson joined the Pistons organization in 1977. He handles all business functions of the Pistons, The Palace, DTE Energy Music Theatre and Meadow Brook Music Festival.

He is a native of Detroit who graduated from Cass Tech High School and Wayne State University.

Uh oh….a sign of things to come Pistons fans.

We have heard rumors, but here it is in The Detroit News this morning.

In the meantime, Pistons owner Karen Davidson seriously is considering selling the Pistons and Palace Sports and Entertainment. She already has had a conversation with NBA commissioner David Stern on the process and protocol for attracting potential buyers. Once she sells, there would be nothing keeping the Pistons tethered to The Palace.

The mere thought of it is alarming to 95% of Pistons fans. I was really upset when I heard the rumors but,  to have it in black and white right before me makes it worse.   The man has been gone less than a year, and from what I have always been told this team meant the world to him and he would never have sold them.  Doesn’t that mean anything?

The possibilities of what could come of this are never ending.  Think good thoughts…think good thoughts.

Mr. D’s legacy deserves more.

The asking price: $47 million, making the estate, called Stony Creek Ranch, one of the most expensive listings in the country, in a resort area that has been hard-hit by the housing bust.

Gordon went down hard during on his left ankle and sprained it during Wednesday night’s game. He’s listed as day-to-day, but it’s unlikely Gordon will play tonight against the Los Angeles Clippers.
If that’s the case, he will join Richard Hamilton (severely sprained right ankle) and Tayshaun Prince (small ruptured disc) on the sidelines.

Coach John Kuester wouldn’t speculate as to who would replace Gordon after Wednesday’s game — the Pistons didn’t practice on Thanksgiving — but Austin Daye started the second half in place of Gordon against the Cavaliers.

Interestingly, Kuester wants to stress defense right now with so much offense missing.
“One of the things that can’t happen is that players feel pressure to do more than they’re capable of doing,” Kuester said. “We just need to continue to play, continue to defend, and if anything, I want them to feel a sense of urgency not so much offensively as defensively.”  Via The Detroit News

Will Bynum knows he did not play well in Wednesday nights loss to the Cavaliers.

“I can’t play like that when Ben goes out and expect us to win,” Bynum said. “We put too much on Stuckey out there and that was my fault.”

Rodney Stucky:

“I’ve just got to go out there and still try to create for my teammates. They’ve got to be ready to shoot the ball. I tell that to Jonas (Jerebko). When he’s in the corner and we pass it to him, be ready to shoot it.”

Like it or not with three of Detroit’s key players out,  the Rookies are going to get their chance to shine.

“Detroit Pistons President of Basketball Operations Joe Dumars announced today that the club has requested waivers on guard/forward Deron Washington.  He averaged 3.3 points, 0.6 rebounds and 6.4 minutes in seven preseason games.

Washington was drafted by Detroit with the 59^th overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft.  He played on the Pistons’ summer league teams each of the last two years and averaged 14.8 points and 7.0 rebounds in 27 games for Hapoel Holon of the Greek League in 2008-09.” Via Pistons.com
