Danny and I along with Dave Wieme, the former Director of Strategic Communications for The Pistons, our new permanent member of the Podcast team just wrapped up the Pistons preseason in a fresh new podcast for your listening pleasure.

We covered what we saw in the Pistons two preseason games.  We also went into a number of topics like, Rodney Stuckey’s signing, Vernon Macklin, Brandon Knight, Danny’s sadness over not landing poster boy Kris Kardashian, Austin Daye’s emergence, Tayshuan Prince’s roll, Moose Monroe, the Need4Sheed and more.  We also each gave our Breakout player of the season as well as posed the question: Who’s going to win more games, The Pistons this season or Justin Verlander?

Dave WiemeWe also got into something you may not know about.  The new Management at The Pistons have removed Bill Davidson’s name off the court.  For many of you that might not mean much, but for this fan it was very upsetting to see his name gone.

Take a listen and feel free to comment.

Danny , Dave and just were lucky enough to be graced with the presence of Vince Ellis, the Detroit Free Press Pistons beat writer for an interview.  What better time to have Vince on then for the craziness that has surrounded the Pistons the last week.

Rip HamiltonWe talked the Rip Hamilton buyout, the Tayshaun Prince signing and why Rodney Stuckey hasn’t signed with the Pistons.  Vince, as always,  was very informative and had plenty of insight into what would have been an Amnesty situation with Rip had he not went to the team for a buyout.

We thank Vince again  and hope he comes back even if I did give him the business.

Make sure you listen to the podcast and follow Vince on Twitter if you aren’t already at @Vee_Ellis4Freep and read him over at the Freep.

Danny and I just went on a podcasting marathon with my good friend and former Director of Strategic Communications at the Palace Sports and Entertainment Dave Wieme.  You remember the fun we always have with Dave on the Podcast, so we have given him a permanent place on the broadcast whenever he’s available to grace us with his presence.

Dave Wieme

We touched on a plethora of Pistons and NBA info like what we may expect from the organization, Tom Gores, Joe Dumars chance in making it past this season, what happened last season, if T-Mac was a Cancer to the roster, Rodney Stuckey, what our roster might look like, T-Prince sign and trade, if I could “take” Lawrence Frank, what would happen if I had to “toon” Kaman and what our starting lineup might be.  This was a refreshing start to what should be an fun season for Pistons fans.

Make sure you listen to the podcast and follow Mr. Wieme on Twitter.

It's Gores Time!

Danny and I just went on a podcasting marathon with my good friend and former Director of Strategic Communications at the Palace Sports and Entertainment Dave Wieme. With Tom Gores now officially the owner of the Detroit Pistons we had a ton of things to talk about. So much so that I had to cut the podcast in two. That much you ask…yep!

Dave WiemeWe talk the about the worth of the Pistons and the Palace Organization, Tom Gores, the Rip trade scenario, The NBA Finals, the DB’s in Miami, Kuester, coaching, winning, and not winning, Stuckey, heck I could go on and on, but I would rather you take some time and listen to Dave and his nuggets of wisdom about a team he worked with for most of his adult life.

And he’s funny…so make sure you are following him on Twitter. (We were actually live tweeting during this podcast)

I wasn’t kidding when I said we went on and on, the first half alone is about an hour long.

Second half to follow….and me live tweeting the Gores Press Conference Thursday afternoon at 4:30!

Need4Sheed PodcastDanny and I break this thing down as the season comes to a close. I must say that this podcast was both therapeutic and fun for both of us.

Danny comes clean about his playoff predication while I seem to just get my frustrations out.

We talk Rodman, the man, the legend and the Jersey retirement ceremony. We again talk about the new kid on the block Greg Monroe. And the man the myth that #2 pick Darko and of course the newest Rodney Stuckey incident.

While Danny is never afraid to speak his mind, he’s got the feeling he’s going to get bashed after this one.

Take a listen and by all means give us your feedback and question for the next show.

You also may be wondering why I have a picture of a dog in this post. It’s because this is my dog…and she saved my life last week. We talked about it in the podcast so I thought I would let know see who saved my life …and (all that Danny cares about) this site.  Thanks Dee!

Need4Sheed PodcastWith a little more than a handful of Piston games left this season, Danny and I take a look at the last few games and what’s left in store this season.

There are positives and negatives, but as week look forward and back.   What will this team look like next season?  Will the team be sold soon?  What is the roster going to look like?  Will Tayshaun Prince give the Pistons a home team discount next season? What’s with the upcoming draft? Where does Austin Daye fit in? Is Rodney Stuckey the face of this franchise?  Will Rip be next season player/coach?

We cover a lot.

And Danny once again make a bold prediction!  Listen in, and feel free to mock.

The RoundBall Revolution comes directly to you!

Need4Sheed PodcastYes…we’re talking about PRACTICE! And not showing up for it.

You’re in for a special treat for this hour long Need4Sheed.com Podcast.  Joining Danny and I is Dave Hogg, who if you don’t know covers the Pistons (and most of the Detroit sports teams) for the Associated Press.

We talked at length with Dave, who gives us the inside scoop on the term he coined as The RoundBall Revolution by the Pistons players.

I’m not going to spoil anything, take some time and listen to this one. This is by far the best podcast we’ve done to date thanks to Dave, who gave us  the lowdown on the whole mess that is Detroit Pistons basketball right now.

We even went into length about Rip and his buyout and why Cleveland wanted to do it.  We also covered what’s happening, or not, with the sale of the team.

Don’t think it’s all doom and gloom…Dave gave us something to look forward to as Pistons fans.

Dave Hogg @StareagleYou know I push myself and Danny on Twitter, but seriously if you’re not following Dave @Stareagle then you’re not a Detroit Sports fan!

Take a listen and by all means give us your feedback and questions.

Need4Sheed PodcastHere is the latest Need4Sheed Podcast. Danny and I were lucky enough to have a couple of special guests this week. Dave and J.P. from The Palace/Garden Podcast joined us in our “Pistons Round Table” to talk about what we are all talking about today.

The Pistons meltdown at the Palace against The Raptors.

We commiserate about our misery that is this team right now, as well as talk about why we think it’s happening. Is it the Coach? Is it the Players? Is it management? Is it Hooper?

And why does Danny want to trade Ben Wallace?

Dave also posed a question during the Podcast that we want to put to a vote. What is the Worst Pistons loss this season? Cast your vote at the bottom of this post.
