There was a scary situation at The Palace of Auburn Hills Saturday night when Detroit’s star Andre Drummond collided with the Pacers Roy Hibbert.  Andre and Hibbert were going after a loose ball when they collided.  Drummond immediately fell to the ground grabbing his head.

The entire crowd at the Palace was seemed horrified as Dre was down on the floor for about 10 minutes.  He was walked off court with Arnie Kandor and Mike Abdenour on his side to a roaring ovation.  He did not return.

No word yet on his injury, I’m sure until he see’s doctors.

Let’s hope the future of this team is just fine.

The 25-40 #Pistons will host the 48-17 Eastern Conference leading Indiana Pacers Saturday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pacers, who had lost four straight before taking down Boston and Philadelphia, come into the Palace with a good change to make it three in a row to the Pistons who have lost 11 of their last 14 games.

The Pacers have won three straight road meetings with the Pistons. Detroit’s last home win over Indiana came in 96-88 victory on Dec. 31, 2011.

The good: Despite the fact that Indian sits atop the Easter Conference, the Pistons have beat the Pacers once this season.
The bad: As each game goes by the Pistons chances of sneaking into the playoffs are fading as is the chance that they’ll keep their lottery pick. Detroit hasn’t won a regular-season series against Indiana since 2007-08.
The unknown: Josh Smith is averaging 20.8 points in 20 meetings against the Pacers since 2007-08, his highest mark against any team during that time. Can he lead the Pistons to victory against a team he has so much success against?

Pistons: Chauncey Billups and Josh Harrellson are out. Peyton Siva is day-to-day.
Pacers: C.J. Watson is doubtful.

Refs Love SheedSuit don’t lie – Great piece on Sheed and his coaching!

Stat: The Pistons rank first in the NBA in points in the paint per game with 52.6 and third in the NBA in fastbreak points per game with 18.0.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

The 25-39 #Pistons are in Toronto to take on the 35-27 Raptors Wednesday night. The Raptors who are closing in on a division title will take a Pistons team that is on their second game of a back-to-back and have trouble on the road.

The good: It was nice to see the Pistons pull it together after a slow start against the Kings and get a win.
The bad: The Raptors have won 14 of their last 18 on their home court and the last time these two teams met they crushed the Pistons 112-91.
The unknown: Who’s going to stand out, the surprising good center for the Raptors Jonas Valanciunas or Andre Drummond?

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out. Peyton Siva is day-to-day.
Kings:Patrick Peterson out.
Pistons-vs-raptors

The 24-39 #Pistons will host the 22-41 Sacramento Kings Tuesday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons have a chance to get back into the win column against one of the worst NBA teams on the road.

The good: Detroit has won three consecutive games at home against the Kings.
The bad: If you’re one of the let’s tank the rest of the season to get the pick, sadly the Pistons are playing bad enough to keep their pick without tanking.
The unknown: Who’s going to come out on top of the Andre Drummond vs. DeMarcus Cousins battle?

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out. Peyton Siva is day-to-day.
Kings:Carl Landry , Jason Terry, are out.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

The 24-38 #Pistons are in are in Boston to take on the 21-41 Celtics Sunday evening. The Pistons, who came off an embarrassing loss to the Timberwolves Friday night, have a great chance of bouncing back against the Celtics.

The good: This roller coaster ride that is the 2013-2014 Pistons season is almost over. Detroit is 2-0 against the Boston Celtics this season.
The bad: Chauncey Billups thinks losing doesn’t hurt this team the way i should, and so do I.
The unknown: Will Detroit come to play after looking like they’d never played basketball with each other Friday in Minnesota.

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out. Peyton Siva is day-to-day.
Celtics:Vitor Faverani, Avery Bradley, Gerald Wallace are out.

Stat: Detroit has won six of the last eight games against Boston.

Tip off is at 6:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

The 24-37 #Pistons are in Minnesota to take on the 30-30 Timberwolves Friday night. The Timberwolves are still trying to make a playoff push winning six of their last eight games, while Detroit is doing the same in the lowly Eastern Conference.

The Pistons have lost in their last three visits to Minneapolis.

The good: Greg Monroe’s 27 points in the Pistons loss to the Bulls.
The bad: The Fact Detroit has lost eight of 10 overall and 11 of 13 on the road, including seven in a row while allowing an average of 112.6 points.
The unknown: This season in almost at the finish line, will the Pistons squeek into the playoffs, lose their draft pick, or both?

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out. Peyton Siva is day-to-day.
Timberwolves: Ronny Turiaf is out.

Fact: Detroit has lost seven consecutive games to the Timberwolves.
Fact: Kevin Love is awesome, and he like Taco Bell so watch out.

The 24-36 #Pistons will host the 33-27 Chicago Bulls Wednesday night at The Palace of Auburn Hills. The Bulls, who are playing good basketball are just one and a half games behind the Raptors for third place in Eastern Conference.

Chicago has lost two of three to Detroit since winning 18 straight in the series.

The good: Andre Drummond who grabbed a career-high and NBA season-high-tying 26 rebounds vs. New York. Andre’s 26 is the most rebound recorded by a Pistons since Ben Wallace put up 28 vs. Boston (3/24/02).
The bad: The Bulls should be gunning hard for this one. Despite not having Derrick Rose, they’re doing a heck of a job in the lowly eastern Conference.
Don’t diss Dre, he just wants to play ball.
The unknown: Will this Pistons team keep the momentum going against the Bulls or did they dismantle the Knicks simply because they are terrible?

Bulls-Pistons

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out.
Bulls: Derrick Rose is out.

Stat:  Detroit is 1-1 against the New York Knicks this season.
Stat: Carmelo Anthony is averaging 29.5 points against the Pistons this season.

Remember the Jordan Rules? I you’re young it’s a great lesson on how the NBA changed the rules to accommodate Michael Jordan because The Pistons defense was just too good.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

The 23-36 #Pistons will host the 21-39 New York Knicks Monday night at the Palace of Aubrun Hills. The Knicks come into the Palace losers of their last six games, while Detroit have lost their last four.

The good: The Knicks are playing just about as bad as the Pistons are of late, so this is a great chance for Detroit to get back on track.
The bad: It doesn’t take a genius to realize that the Pistons are horrible on the defensive end but when you read the statistics it makes you feel even worse. They are ranked among the league’s worst, allowing 103.7 points per game, it’s been getting worse in the past few games. Their last seven opponents have averaged 112.3 points while shooting 49.6 percent. Turrrrrrable
Isiah Thomas FurThe unknown: If there is any truth to the rumor that Isiah Thomas is in line to take Joe Dumars GM spot, than Tom Gores is a total nut. If Thomas is ever a part of this team, get ready to be a fan of the Toronto Raptors.

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out.
Knicks: Andrea Bargnani and Kenyon Martin are out.

Stat: Detroit is 1-1 against the New York Knicks this season.
Stat: Carmelo Anthony is averaging 29.5 points against the Pistons this season.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

The 23-35 #Pistons are Houston to take on the 39-19 Rockets Saturday night. The Rockets are on a roll, having won 10 of their last 12 games and have won seven straight against the Pistons on their home court.

The good: You can see that this team is playing much better lately, they just need to learn to finish off games.
The bad: The last time these two teams met Dwight Howard had a monster game putting up 35 points with 19 boards. Remember the days when Sheed played Howard so well he was barley noticeable on the floor?
The unknown: Can Andre Drummond show that he’s improved since the last time he met Howard? Will Detroit’s defense be able to hold off Houston, who are averaging 114 points per game while shooting lights out from behind the arc?

Pistons: Chauncey Billups (left knee surgery) is out.
Rockets: Greg Smith is out.
James Harden is probable.

Stat: The Pistons are 4-17 against Western Conference opponents.

Tip off is at 8:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

The 23-34 #Pistons are in San Antonio to take on the 40-16 Spurs on Wednesday night. The Pistons won their last game against the Spurs at the Palace beating the a stunned San Antonio team 101-109 in John Loyer’s debut, but has lost their last three on the road.

The good: It’s great going into a game against a clearly better team knowing that you can beat them.
The bad: The Pistons have dropped five of their last six and are just 4-17 against Western Conference opponents. They’ve also lost nine of its last 11 road games.
Watch out for Belinelli who had the hot hand the last time these two teams met.
The unknown: Will my prediction come right that I made over at Project Spurs when they asked me some questions about Detroit and tonight’s game?
Will we see an Austin Day sighting, who was traded to the Spurs from Toronto at the deadline.
