The Pistons vs. The Magic – Singler to Start

by Natalie Sitto on November 16, 2012

The 1-8 #Pistons with host 2-5 the Orlando Magic Friday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The big news is not that fact that the Pistons picked up their first win Wednesday night with Kyle Singler in the starting linuep.

The big news is that Rodney Stuckey will be coming off the bench for Detroit.

“Stuckey went to head coach Lawrence Frank and requested the switch after watching how well the starting unit flowed while he missed a game with the flu, and said today he has “no ego” and believes it could be the best move for everyone.

“I just want to come in and just impact the game,” Stuckey said after today’s shootaround. “I think coming in with the second unit, being able to run more, get out in transition, will help us out a lot.” via MLive

Bucket Man

  • The good: The Pistons have won three of the last four meetings against the Magic and are 12 of 15 against them in Detroit. You can say hello to our old friend Arron Afflalo who’s the one and only bright spot on the Magic.
  • The bad: The Magic, who are coming into this game on a five game losing streak.
  • The unknown: Will Kyle Singler put up the same kind of performance that he did in his first start? Will Rodney Stuckey be more productive off the bench for Detroit?

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 the Ticket.

Am I the only one who instantly thought of the trick shots with Rasheed Wallace video when I seen this? Come on… I know I wasn’t the only one.

we played better the entire game except for umm the last 45 seconds or so. Really did deserve this win, but you dont get a victory for winning 47 minutes and 15 seconds you only get a victory if you win 48 minutes.
