The Pistons tip off the regular season at home Wednesday night at the Palace. With the a bunch of new faces on the team the youth infused team should really be fun to watch.
I’ve been lucky enough to get to see the Pistons start the season too many times to count. I probably haven’t missed an opener since the late 80’s. Besides the openers after each one of the Pistons championships, I have to say that my excitement for the opener is almost in the same category. I know this team isn’t championship bound yet, but after the turmoil that they’ve gone through since Mr. Big Shot was traded, I can only look forward to the bright side things.
It looks like the Pistons are going all out this season to make sure the fan get their fair share of excitement as soon as they walk in the door.
Take a look what they’re rolling out for the game.

They’re even considering the kiddies, since it is Halloween night and all.
To begin the night, families are invited to arrive at The Palace early to enjoy youth-friendly trick-or-treating in the North Pavilion from 6-7 p.m. and take part in additional Halloween themed game entertainment throughout the evening (costumes are encouraged; no masks or toy weapon accessories will be permitted inside The Palace)…Weather isn’t going to be great, so all those kids can come inside to trick or treat and check out the game too…
There is still time to head on out to the game if you’d like to be part of the night, just head over to Pistons.com for tickets or more information.
Me, I’m more excited to see how the team handles themselves for their first official game together this season. And I don’t have to tell you who I think will have a great game.
Who’s going to have the biggest opening night for the Pistons?
