The Pistons Opening Night it Upon Us

Fire in the Palace

The Pistons tip off the regular season at home Wednesday night at the Palace.  With the a bunch of new faces on the team the youth infused team should really be fun to watch.

I’ve been lucky enough to get to see the Pistons start the season too many times to count.  I probably haven’t missed an opener since the late 80′s. Besides the openers after each one of the Pistons championships, I have to say that my excitement for the opener is almost in the same category. I know this team isn’t championship bound yet, but after the turmoil that they’ve gone through since Mr. Big Shot was traded, I can only look forward to the bright side things.

It looks like the Pistons are going all out this season to make sure the fan get their fair share of excitement as soon as they walk in the door.

Take a look what they’re rolling out for the game.

They’re even considering the kiddies, since it is Halloween night and all.

To begin the night, families are invited to arrive at The Palace early to enjoy youth-friendly trick-or-treating in the North Pavilion from 6-7 p.m. and take part in additional Halloween themed game entertainment throughout the evening (costumes are encouraged; no masks or toy weapon accessories will be permitted inside The Palace)…Weather isn’t going to be great, so all those kids can come inside to trick or treat and check out the game too…

Me, I’m more excited to see how the team handles themselves for their first official game together this season. And I don’t have to tell you who I think will have a great game.

Who’s going to have the biggest opening night for the Pistons?

Too excited! I agree…there is a certain energy and feeling that i have towards this group and this upcoming season… Our rookies have great potential and have shown that they are ready… It will be fun to observe their development…I am personally excited to see Andre Drummond & Kim English grow as players… I very excited to see Monroe and Drummond on the court together. Yup, I’m excited. I just wish Austin and Charlie V. well and hope they have a good season… they are going have to find their damn stroke and contribute! That would be a great bonus if they can be consist and produce…

This season is a steppingstone for things to come for sure!

Soo excited to watch my boys play ball especially the “drestroyer”. I’m sure he’ll light up the palace with his dunks and alley-oops. I wish I could watch the opening live too bad tho I live in the opposite side of the world. Win or lose this team is heading in the right direction.

oh and by the way those LED wrist bands looks cool.
