Pistons call Walker Russell up from The Mad Ants

by Natalie Sitto on January 20, 2012

The Mad Ants are losing their star point guard as Walker Russell has been called up to the Detroit Pistons.

Walker, who was in training camp with the Pistons earlier this season, leads the D-League in assists this season at 9.9 per game to go with 16 points.

It will be the 29-year old Russell’s first stint with an NBA team during the regular season. Via Wane.com

Hat tip to @WTFDetroit_com who let me know.  Walker is also on Twitter @WalkRussell if you want to follow the new Piston.

He’s putting up nice numbers… but he’s just another guard on the unstable rotation…

Reason and judgment include the qualities of an leader.
There are no techniques to success. Oahu is the results of preparation, hard work, and learning from failure.
