The Pistons vs. The Pacers

by Natalie Sitto on December 31, 2011

The Pistons will (hopefully) kick off the New Years Eve festivities at the Palace with a win against the Pacers.

  • The good: Moose Monroe. Charlie V back to help him down low.
  • The bad: The Pacers pummeled the Pistons in the season opener.
  • The unknown: Will it be as bad as last time..or last night for that matter.

Even Maxiell and Wilkins actually made positive contributions. Knight remains a work in progress and was up and down, but he is getting burn and is capable of amazing things. Stuckey would have been better but as usual he’s not getting the foul calls that he is earning (especially that last turnover at the end). Daye played poorly and was benched as a result. CV might have helped, hopefully he will be replacing Maxiell soon. Injuries to CV, Prince and possibly even Stuckey becoming a concern. But let the celebration begin, a big monkey off the team’s back.

Stuckey had 7 rebounds, 7 assists and 15 points! That is pretty great for him.

Nice win. JJ led the team. More importantly we get the win before Wizards does.

It just feels so good to have your building blocks for the future perform so well. I can see Knight, Jerebko and Monroe doing great things in the future for us. Stuckey seems to be picking up his game too, so if we can become consistent, I think I’ll quite enjoy watching Pistons like this this season.

That spin move by stuckey was ferocious, got three guys jumping like antelopes, and then layed it in. Moose performed like a veteran, I don’t care if he’s a two year, he played like a vet. And Jerebko won us the game, thanks swede.

No write-up for our first win of the season?

Sorry Drew, I didn’t get to finish watching the game until late Sunday night. Hopefully we’ll have more wins to talk about.

JJ looked SwedeTastic.
