Pistons lose their draft pick Kyle Singler for (hopefully) the time being:

“Detroit Pistons’ draft pick Kyle Singler has reached agreement on a contract with Alicante of Spain’s top professional league, Singler’s agent told Yahoo! Sports.

Singler’s deal with Alicante contains an out clause that will allow him to return to the NBA if the league-imposed lockout ends, said Singler’s agent, Greg Lawrence.

The Pistons chose Singler in the second round of the June draft with the 33rd overall pick. A 6-foot-8 small forward, Singler had a successful four-year career at Duke, where he averaged 16.2 points and 6.9 rebounds, and set the school record for most starts with 147. He was the 2010 Final Four’s Most Outstanding Player after helping lead the Blue Devils to the national championship.” Via Yahoo Sports

This Lockout it killing me, but it may be good for Singler to get some time on the floor. Good thing I didn’t toon him yet.

Hopefully, he gets some precious time over the water and get some playing time in with a different flavor from collage.

I agree, Natalie, this lockout is full of bs. T.T

Just read this on Yahoo sports:
“Alicante announced the deal on its website Tuesday saying the American, voted best player in leading Duke to the 2010 NCAA championship, has a get-out clause that allows him to return to the NBA should a lockout be avoided.”
So I guess we haven’t lost him at all

I’d like to see Ben Gordon over in Europe, maybe he can regain his confidence, Austin Daye too, needs the work, Brandon Knight obviously needs work, Greg Monroe sure, him too.

We are a pretty young team, these guys do not have many miles on them, and the more work they get in the better.

And best of all, we would get new teams to root for during the lockout :-)
