The 7-14 Pistons are in Houston to take on the 7-13 Rockets Tuesday night. The Rockets are still missing Yao, who had hoped to be back for the game against Detroit.

Meanwhile, Tracy McGrady who averaged 23 points during his five year run with Houston, will be returning tonight. As for his homecoming of sorts…it will most likely be hot and cold after the way circumstances behind his departure.

Charlie V out tonight.

    actually the pistons are 7-14

  2. edt says:

the pistons should have some fun against the rockets. we have trouble against teams that intimidate us with size, experience or athleticism (lakers celtics orlando). This time, we are the bullies.

I look forward to watching the pistons administer beating. without yao ming, they will be playing 6 foot 6 238 pounds chuck hayes at center.

You know that Greg Monroe is gonna be licking his lips to be matched up against someone who cant beat him up.

  3. rai_from_the_philippines says:

Hope that Daye plays, and gets matched up against Kevin Martin. If they played against each other, it would seem that they are looking at a mirror. These two dudes almost look alike. LOL!

    GO P!!!

  4. rai_from_the_philippines says:

Rip out again with 2 T’s! WTF!!!

  5. edt says:

    calling all cry-babies, go home!

I really like these games in the cellar, it’s a fight between two evenly matched teams, win or lose.

  6. Drew says:

    Refs on Houston’s friggin payroll!

  7. Tycoon says:

Just as I thought Scola will dominate. We made him looked like an MVP contender. Watch out for Darko when we face Wolves.

  8. Adam says:

We need a good point guard. And i hope they pick it up by the time February rolls around, so I can watch some good basketball when Im there

I read somewhere that the sale will take place around febuary. And that before the sale, the nba board should approve of this sale, but they will meet at the all-star break. but the trade deadline is the 4th day after the all star break, so good luck to the Piston’s hope of trading it’s players.

fun game until the last 5 minutes. Ben Gordon is just terrible.

What did I tell you all about how Rip gets those double techs on purpose cause he wants to have an early dinner.

this game was full of huge runs, you had these 10 to 20 point runs by both teams, Houston was hot at the end, but I think it could just as well have been the Pistons.

Ben Gordon is still awful. I don’t know if he will ever get better. He shot about 30 percent with 4 turnovers and 1 assist with about 40 minutes. He was the worst shooter, the worst ball handler, the worst defensively, the worst everything for both teams pistons & rockets.

Games like this make me think Ben Gordon’s best years are now behind him.

Stuckey had 6 turnovers, but if you saw the game, you would see that Kyle Lory was like a cobra, I’m not gonna put it all on Stuckey.

the rockets really have a decent defense, something the pistons utterly lacks. They dont have much of an offense but we cant defend very well, so all in all, it evened out, until that last run.

  10. JHigh says:

    Yeah BG is playing awful.
To me starting or coming off the bench(as long as you get plenty of minutes) shouldn’t make a difference; and BG isn’t giving Q a reason to start him.

Remeber when Iverson was starting while Rip came off the bench, Rip scored 30 off the bench while Iverson continued to play poorly. That is why Rip got his starting spot back.

    • rai_from_the_philippines says:

Daye should be coming off the bench for Rip, then TMac for Stuck. Them, together with Prince, would be a long perimeter defense.

      • JHigh says:

That seems like the right thing to do but, since BG is a long term high dollar investment they are hoping that he will shoot his way out and return to his Bulls form.

  11. pistonsfan101 says:

Detroit coach John Kuester wasn’t happy with Hamilton’s ejection.

“We can’t afford to lose him anymore in a game because we need him,” Kuester said. “He’s been in this league long enough, and he needs to—like all of us—be able to adjust to the whistle.”

Hopefully Rip gets punished for this.

    • rai_from_the_philippines says:

Q also needs to adjust with playing without Rip, because it’s highly likely that Rip will not be with the Pistons anymore.

      • edt says:

rip is untradable. there is not a single team in the nba that wants rip’s contract of 13 million a year for three years. not one.

our only hope is that after the 2011 lockout contracts across the board will be adjusted, and then he might see value for his salary.
