Let’s blow this thing open in the second half

  2. Drew says:

Why has Prince been so awful from the free throw line this season? Monroe too. Monroe could shoot the ball in summer league and preseason, but he seems to have lost all confidence shooting outside of 7 feet now.

  3. Drew says:

I say we give this lineup some burn in the 4th quarter, if the lead stays large:

2nite we saw a small glimpse of the 2004 Pistons. They didn’t look like the 2010 Pistons who play to get it over with. They were having fun and playing to win! Good stuff. Also, I think that we are at our best when Big Ben plays well. Rip showed why he should stay a starter and Stuckey played a great game. Tay-Tay and CV did their thing to. Overall a great game. Keep playing like this.

  5. James (Australia) says:

Don’t want to read too much into tonight’s win. The Cavs suck, and we belted them @ the Palace. Glad for the win, and for the notable individual performances. Until the Pistons pull of an upset win, I will still be wary of predicting them as a playoff team.

We have a chance to pull off a good winning streak for the rest of December. Houston, New Orleans, and Minnesota are now all winnable games, I would really like to see us win 2/3 there. I think the only games I view as being hard to win are the Boston and @Phoenix game at the end of the month.

A solid win. If they play like this against the good teams we’ll occasionally beat them.

Sometimes I think what the pistons need is a sports psychologist to go up to them and say “You can do it!”

What the hell is up with stuckey and all the assists? He had what, a dozen assists? Where is the head down running to the hole with the rock we are used to. Not that I am complaining.

Coaches were giving Ben Gordon minutes in the hop that he’ll get his shot back. I am positive Rip is not happy about that, he wants his minutes. Gordon’s head is not right and if he just quits thinking so much and hesitating, and just shoots the ball, he’ll be ok, he’s got to shoot his way out of the year long slump.

Austin Daye. . . STILL in the doghouse.

It’s amazing how much better we look if Ben Wallace decides he wants to play hard. This is not the same Ben Wallace we saw 2 days ago. I’m still convinced that he is not right, and shouldn’t be getting many minutes.

Stuck played a great game and I am happy for the assits he had cause its not like its taking away from his scoring. Still had 24 points to go along with all his assists and still being agressive. and tonight Rip had the second most minuetes on the Pistons so he wasn’t loosing many to BG. also I think Rip would give up some minutes for 27 points and a convincing win against the hated Cavaliers.
as for Big Ben he had a great game and did many things that didnt show in the stat sheet and i wouldnt say doesnt always play hard. he and Antonio McDyess are the fellows that give effort on the court each night in the recent Pistons years.

      • edt says:

look nobody is taking away the effort from ben. Thats why I always blame injuries and age on his performance recently.

He’s been awful for about 3 weeks. You can’t have a zero rebound game against Orland. Against the cavaliers he was his usual self but put against the rest of his performance this year . . . he is not performing at a high level this year.

Big Ben is not the same man he was last year.

    • rai_from_the_philippines says:

I don’t see the games so I wouldn’t actually know how well Stuck performs during games, but stat-wise, I think he is slowly growing in the PG spot and improving.

  7. Tycoon says:

20 wins to go to tie our last season’s record. I’d be happy if we surpass that. Nice win.
