The Pistons vs. The Kings

The 20-35 Detroit Pistons are in Sacramento to face the 18-38 Kings (late) tonight. The Pistons have just two wins in their last 12 trips to Sacramento, one of those wins came last season. The Kings just handed the Pistons a loss before the all star break, but are currently on a four game losing streak and are without their leading scorer, Kevin Martin, who was traded to the Rockets before the deadline.

On a sad note, my thoughts and prayers go out to John Kuester who is mourning the passing of his father John, who died on Saturday.

Tip is at 10:00 pm EST and will be televised on Fox Sports Detroit. For the radio broadcast tune in to 97.1 The Ticket or follow the action over at NBA.com.

Keep losing. Get a high draft pick and focus on making the playoffs next year

Chris Wilcox has to be the dumbest player on the team by far.

Nat, I don’t wanna sound too cynical here, but I think the only reason that Rip and Tay are playing better is because they realize the urgency of their situation. Neither of them want to be in Detroit anymore. Ever since the glue (Chauncey) left, their determination and blue-collar drive went with him. All I’m saying is that I won’t be surprised if these guys are gone after the season. And personally, I can’t wait for a fresh start.

On a brighter side, we have a great young group of guys who hustle all game. Guys like Jmax, Jerebko, and Stuckey are few and far between in the league. These guys are going to be the future of the team and I can’t wait to watch Swede blossom into the player I know he can be.

J. Max needs to go he can’t do much of anything when hes on the court besides foul, miss shots and free throws, stuckey needs to learn to share the ball not turn the ball over and know his weaknesses which are alot and I give him credit is doing a better job than before. Pistons need a franchise player, they don’t have it, Billups along with Rip and Tay where it, if they leave without a solid leader and all star player they will not contend for a very very long time. Just because you get a high draft pick doesn’t mean we’ll take off. Grant Hill didn’t get us past the first round of the playoffs for how long???? we didn’t get good until we traded him and he was a high draft pick. The draft doesn’t mean much of anything besides hoping we’ll be better.

chris dont be cynical. rip loves to win. dont look for complicated reasons. thats why he plays hard. did you see him smile after this win? that says it all. but tay will be gone because his contract will be good to trade next year.

of coures at first tay & rip were mad, but now they have more pressing matters on their mind, like being on a team that sucks, and what can they do to make the team better.

Like I been saying if the Pistons had been healthy the whole season they would easily be 4th or 5th in the east right now. Stuckey yo. Prince yo.

Yes this is a great road win, hopefully tomorrow again vs Clips. Rip is putting this team back to life and yet some people are still complaining.

Tycoon, that’s because complaining is a form of communication. It doesn’t matter what happens, people will find something to complain about. You have people complaining about us losing because we won’t make the playoffs, then, on the other side, you have people complaining about us winning cause they want a high draft pick. hahahaha. you just have to live with it i guess.
