Pistons vs. Wizards

Pistons vs Wizards
The Pistons take on the 17-56 Wizards tonight in Washington.  The struggling Wizards will have Gilbert Arenas in their lineup for the first time in 16 months for the Wizards after undergoing three surgical procedures on his left knee since injuring it in April 2007.

We know the plight of Detroit and their playoff hopes right now.  The Pistons have lost seven of their last nine games which has put them at the bottom of the playoff picture in the Eastern Conference.

It looks like Richard Hamilton will finally take the court for Detroit, but the return of Sheed will most likely be a game time decision.

Since Sheed started his career in Washington I thought this YouTube blast from the past would be appropriate.  Now let’s hope we see Rasheed on court tonight for Detroit.

Tip off is at 7:00 PM and will be broadcast locally on FSN. If you can’t catch the broadcast, listen locally on WDFN 1130 AM or through your computer at NBA.com

    Halftime! 7 point lead. :)

    - Walter Herrmann with 2 triples in the 2nd quarter. Tayshaun hit 3/3 from downtown. Nice!

    - Stuckey with a few easy points in the 2nd. Makes it look like a lay-up drill. (13 points in 15 minutes)

    - I love it when Tay pretends to go for his lefty hook-shot, but instead spins the other way and dunks it. :)

    - Improvement we need the most for the 2nd half: Better transition defense.

What a collapse we had at the end, atleast we ended up with the win. Hamilton is such a key part of our team.

I agree with you Wade, RIP is a key part of our Pistons, now I feel more confident of getting 7 or 6 place in the East. With our Stars Trio we can make a good impact and enter the playoffs with the wave of momentum. And yes we can scare some teams.

The Wizards just didn’t rotate on defense in the 3rd quarter which lead to plenty open corner 3s for Rip. Good we won, losing to a team that only played defense in one quarter would hurt.

The non-call on the last shot by Arenas saved us. It wasn’t a bad non-call, but it was an important one.
