The Pistons vs. The Wizards

by Natalie Sitto on December 9, 2008

Detroit is visiting the 3-15 Washington Wizards tonight. Two big things to note, Rodney Stuckey will start along with Allen Iverson, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince and Rasheed Wallace AND Antonio McDyess (who should play) will be back in a Pistons uniform.

Detroit should be able to handle the Wizards, but with what is going on in Motown you can’t count on much of anything.

This nose dive in the power rankings should have the players taking notice.

Me, I say this is the game that turns things around (fingers crossed).

Tip off is at 7:00 P.M. and will be broadcast on FSN . If you can’t watch the television broadcast, tune into 1130 AM The Fan. Can’t do either, follow the game on NBA.com.

You know what to do either in the comments or chat.

If we don’t win this one… :O
I hope Stuckey still starts when we play Orlando. That or he gets a lot of minutes and plays well. It’s the only game I get to go see this season.

If the Pistons don’t win the next 4 in a row, I’m gonna lose it.

Everyone should be really happy that Antonio is back, but don’t be upset if the great McDiggety turns in a sub-par performance tonight. Remember, it always takes him a little while to get going into game shape, and I don’t expect that the month off helped him. With all that said, expect the rest of the crew to take care of business. For tonight at least

i hope the pistons have a mediocore season because they only preform well when they are under pressure or coming from behind…thats what they need to do well in the playoffs…im hoping for a 7 or 8 seed!

They are really bad now. They don’t even seem like the include AI and I don’t know what Curry is doing. If this move was done for cap space, 2010 can’t be here soon enough. They lost the flip when flip and Chauncey left. I didn’t support the trade, but I want them to win. Man up and playone. For those people tired of going to the Eastern Conference Finals, you can mark that off you schedule now.

so what you’re saying is, we gave up a 15 point lead to a 3-15 team, we didn’t play maxiell and sheed teched out. how bout we try to start all 9 of our power forwards without using a real center or any sort of guards….

this ain’t right kids.

XV December 9, 2008 at 9:49 pm

i’m glad Dyess is back but to not play Maxiell,Amir or Kwame is Unacceptable.

I don’t know if I’m more disturbed by how poorly the Pistons are playing or by the comments being made on here…

How long is Joe going to let this go on?

Once again, Curry has good players sitting on the bench, and fails to make any adjustments.
These are pretty much the same players, all quite talented, really no scrubs on this team. The weakness is pretty obvious to lots of us: Michael Curry. Are the Pistons going to be at .500 at New Year? I wouldn’t give Mr. Curry past then to turn it around.

remember when we were 64-48 with flip? well, were 11-9 with curry

mac December 9, 2008 at 10:59 pm

I think you meant 64-18, nonetheless they didn’t even make it to the finals that year. Regular season success does not translate into playoff wins.

Curry is a discrace to call him a coach. He needs to take lessons :]

all need to calm down. we’re all witnesses to curry troubleshoot a problematic bunch. he’s got some awkward pieces to play with and when it’s all said and done, he doesn’t want to say he didn’t try EVERYTHING. I’ve said it b4 and I’ll say it again, we’ll hit some sort of streak post all star game and you all will be singing praises to Curry. If not, we got hope for the future. Joe isn’t trying to win 10 games in a row in the regular season, but he is trying to make smart moves that will make us a better team, growing pains or not. YOUWATCH.

Mobius, you are right. your post calmed me down. I wasn’t really for firing curry, but I’m upset that the pistons just don’t seem to care anymore
