I loved how sheed was coachin kwame on the sidelines. Tay and sheed have really takin this trade in stride, rip should be there soon. It seems like everyone is starting to have fun again. I had my doubts at first, but this is really starting to come together. I cant even imagine what it’s gonna be like when they are all on the same page.

Did anyone notice that Rip seemed to have new tattoos down the back of his arms? They looked just like the ones Chauncey has. It seemed almost like a tribute to him. I might be crazy, but I swear I saw them.

Also, I don’t know if people think Sheed’s tattoo is brand new, but I’ve noticed it since preseason started, sticking out from the sides of his jersey.

Kwame just confirmed why I liked the pickup, keep it up man.

This team seems to be taking on Allen Iverson’s emotion, rather than Chauncey’s hey it’s just another game attitude, which is a welcome change.

I was going to watch the National broadcast like I usually do, but as soon as I saw Hubie Brown was the analyst I went straight for the local one.

I’m really getting annoyed at the players and Michael Curry for not doing anything to concentrate RIP getting his shots where he likes them. He’s a great shooter, but his bread and butter is midrange not 3s. If the team doesn’t get Rip some open looks he is going to keep forcing shots, and missing them. So in essence the AI trade would cost us both Chauncey and RIP (not to mention how the team is going to have to adjust if Dyess comes back)

Thoughts about the game…
1. Since this is not the BullCrappyS*** otherwise known as College Football, the computers won’t give Detroit style points for this one. However, it is a very significant win early in the season. LA was supposed to be the established team, what with A. Bynum and Pau “El Chorizo” Gasol and Kobe, etc. Detroit was the underdog and the team readjusting with AI’s arrival. So, it’s a nice win to get the team on track for the next few days and look forward to the visit of LeBron James and the 11 guys named Pepe.

2. Correct me if I’m wrong, but AI’s arrival has galvanized Sheed? That or his new tattoo, whatever it is, Sheed has found a new gear… and that’s good for the D!

3. Rip will be out of his funk pretty soon and with Tay and Sheed already finding that other gear… we’ll soon be at all cylinders!!!!

4. Kwame Brown posted a double-double? I say GO KWAME!!!! Be as it may, Detroit is a good place for Brown. Nobody’s expecting him to go loco on a scoring spree (That’s why we brought AI) or anything of that kind… we just want him to play some consistent D everytime he’s in. Apparenlty, he’s getting more comfortable as center and if for some reason he raises his game, we’ll have a reliable response against the likes of Kendrick Perkins and others…

5. I’m really impressed by Afflalo… it seems that everytime he comes in, it IS the Showtime at the Affalo! Add the return of Sir Rodney and the always damaging Maxxi, Rico Suave, and Will Bynum (we need a cool nickname for Bynum pronto!!!!)… and the Zoo Crew is getting back in shape!!!

6. We play Phoenix on Sunday… seriously, can anyone set up a three-way press conference featuring The Answer, Mr. Ball Don’t Lie, and the Big Aristotle like RIGHT NOW??? Do you realize the comedy potential of those 3 in front of a mic???? Seriously, is there anybody else in the NBA right now who can give you better soundbites that Iverson, Wallace, and O’Neal?
