Pistons vs Bucks

Posted · 12 Comments

Detroit hosts John Hammond’s Milwaukee Bucks tonight at The Palace. Milwaukee is coming into Detroit on a two game losing streak, and has lost five of its last seven games. Nothing (for this team right now) is a sure thing but the fact that the The Bucks will most likely be without Andrew Bogut (knee) and their All-Star Michael Redd (ankle) gives the Pistons a better edge.

I for one will be happy not to see Mr. Bogut, he just rubs me the wrong way.

As you already know, Rodney Stuckey will be starting in place of Allen Iverson.

Tip is at 8:00 PM on FSN with the pre-game festivities starting at 7. If you can’t watch the television broadcast, tune into 1130 AM The Fan where you can catch our friend Matt Dery with the pre-game starting at 7:00. Can’t do either, follow the game on NBA.com.

9 players with atleast 8 points.
Like ive said in the past, i would like iverson off the bench, andi really did tonight. we need a true PG to start!

  2. Richie says:

I agree with Ryan. Granted, this was the Bucks without their 2 best players, but bringing in Iverson as the shooting gaurd off the bench is a good move if you as me.

  3. Will says:

    Love Iverson off the bench
Too bad its not an option full time.
    Iverson would revolt!

I know I know I’m crazy!!!!!!! If the Pistons want to win another championship now? They need to bring AI off the bench. Its crazy to think AI would accept the role but if Curry can get him to buy in the 2009 Trophy is back in Detroit.

Think about it, every team that has won a championship in the last 10 or evan 20 years, has had a guy that was instant offense come off the bench.

He would be playing against the second unit of other teams and scoring at will.

Curry reads http://www.need4sheed.com I know he does, be a coach not a friend and do it for the good of the team.

I know everyone must be talking about the Answer missing from practice but you can’t take away anything from what he has done tonight. Simply unbelievable.

Two of my favorite Motor City Rockers, AI and Walter HERRMANN were just superb from the bench. Seems like both of them made a pack while sitting out to go out there and bring the house down.

Given at any chance, I’m happy to see Walter’s progress with the Pistons. It seems like coach CURRY has found the right game plan that really works for him.

I’m a Pistons fan when it comes to the Eastern Conference and I want to seem them topping over the Celtics. With a little bit of help from a player like Walter, I do see every possibility of that happening.

Here is my take on the Pistons/Bucks game, which I would appreciate to hear some feedback from you.

I say we start a new movement here at Need4Sheed. Let’s call it ‘Start Rodney’. Like Ryan, after the trade, I was really hoping hard that either Rip or AI would come off the bench and be a leader for the second unit. This Bucks game certainly showed that this could work, but we’ve barely seen the full potential of this gameplan. I hope MC would give this ‘experiment within an experiment’ another run.

  9. altan says:

ok enough with this AI thing, how is dyess gona get playing time if….

    Amir Johnson- 8 points 3 blocks , 3 rebounds , 12 MINUTES

    Jason Maxiell- 13. 8 rebounds, 6 BLOCKS 28 Minutes

those two guys up tehre are beasts

  10. pistons 4 life says:

There’s no question we need Dyess back altan. Amir and Max just had good games because 1) it was a home game, and 2) the bucks front court was depleated. I don’t think we’re ever going to get consistency out of those two as much as I like what they bring to the team.

I was thinking what everyone else was when I was watching the game last night. I think AI really energizes our bench, and I think Stuck is a better fit for the half court stuff our starters are more comfortable with. It would be great if we could continue to play this way but egos and politics would definitely get in the way.

At the same time I think Curry could easily find ways to create these situations even with AI starting. He could do what he did with Tay earlier this season and take out of the first quarter early to set up more time with him and our bench. But he’s the coach and I have confidence that he’ll do the right things.

I’ve been really happy to see Stuck’s shot starting to fall. He could be a great player if he can keep doing that and find a balance between driving the lane and shooting.

With all that said. My opinion of this team that we are good, but not necessarily great, will not change until we have some games like the last few against championship caliber teams. I know we beat LA and CLE but I still need to see more considering they got blown out by the T Wolves at home. If this team can become consistent and we know what to expect from them night in the night out I’ll starting raising my expectations. For now I’m just happy to see progress.
