Pistons – Suns at The Palace

The Detroit Pistons vs. The Suns

The Pistons go up against The Phoenix Suns tonight at home. The Suns are currently on a seven game winning streak, and finally look like they have things worked out with Shaquille O’neal on the floor. We all know Detroit would love to break out of this 2 game slump, but watch out for a Phoenix team that would love to avenge their Nationally Televised beat down.

Tip off is at 7:30 PM and will be locally broadcast on myTV20 Detroit and Nationally on NBA TV. If you can’t catch it on TV you can always tune in to 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or stream it live through your computer at NBA.com.

I’m watching this one on tape delay, so make sure you keep me up to speed on anything important, as well as your giving me your thoughts in the comments.
Don’t forget about Blogfest, the game is approaching soon and we would like to see as many as you there as possible. Get your tickets today!

  2. claire says:

freep.com reported that Rip’s out with a sore left hip. I wonder how or when did he get it?

    yeah, were is rip?

  4. akhalil101 says:

    oh, ok then thanks claire!

    going into OT
great game so far, esp since pistons playing without rip… stuckey and afflalo have filled the void he’s left

pistons were smart to take a shot at the buzzer so in case they miss suns dont have a chance to win in regulation… but what worries me is sheed’s 5 fouls, stoudemire will look 2 big aggressive and sheed cant be aggressive defensively

  6. Livedrupo says:

    Why was Hermann still inactive?

  7. mannie32 says:

ladies and gentlemen… this is about as exciting a game can get down the stretch of the regular season when u have very little to fight for… nothing but pride when the game is tight and on the line… and pistons look to have a little more pride right now!

and did u just see that sheed block?? with 5 fouls, he didnt care, just came out and owned amare

  8. claire says:

Wow…I couldn’t watch this game, but I bet it was a hell of a game. According to the boxscore, it looks like everybody’s had a good game. But what matters most is that we were able to execute during crunch time and clinch this win without Rip.

I hope his injury is either made-up or not serious, because after seeing Nowitzki went down, I can’t help it but be scared, especially since the playoffs are right around the corner.

  9. akhalil101 says:

That was by far the best game i’ve seen this season. Rodney was fantastic with 13 points.

    Ahmed

  10. palaceprince says:

What a good game! I am really happy we were able to pull this one out in the end. Chauncey was amazing in overtime he had like 11 points or something.

    GO PISTONS!!!

  11. palaceprince says:

I was just looking at the box score and it said that sheed took 10 3’s. He made 5 of them but that is too many 3’s if you ask me.

  12. illmatic774 says:

Apparently we got some favorable calls down the stretch but my GOD! Suns fans are babies. They take after their blowhard coach.

However they seem to know what they are doing with Shaq now.

  13. mannie32 says:

all of a sudden the east isnt looking so weak… it’s kind of scary! washington and philli could be tough first round opponents for whoever they face… washington beat detroit the other day, also beat cleveland, and beat boston 2 times in a row earlier in the season… and then philli, they’ve been HOT as of late, beating western contenders, beating detroit earlier and then beating boston tonight…

could be an interesting playoffs, in the east as well as in the west

  14. The Fluidics says:

    That was loads of fun.
When I turned on the postgame, people were complaining about the refs. I didn’t really see a problem though, it was awful, but awful both ways.
It was good to see Showtime get the start, made sure to give him lots of love. There was a kid sitting by us in Nash jersey, people kept booing him. I felt bad for the kid, but it was pretty funny still.

Love the heart from the Pistons, I’m so glad they pulled it out. Yet another sweep of a season series. Great job guys.

  15. RedWhite_N_Awesome says:

Minus the heavy minutes, they should be playing like this every game. The high five between Dyess and Chauncey when Nash got called for the block showed the intensity… FINALLY! Nice to see some energy and a little emotion tonight… FINALLY. Great game!

    GO PISTONS!!!!
